Getting Started

If you are early in the process, we can also provide a preliminary estimate based on measurements, photos, or plans. Final pricing is confirmed after the digital template of your kitchen or bathroom is completed.

The most accurate way to receive a quote is to schedule a in showroom consultation with one of our designers at a Colonial Marble & Granite showroom. During the visit we review your layout, material selection, edge profiles, sinks, and installation details that affect pricing.

If you are early in the process, we can also provide a preliminary estimate based on measurements, photos, or plans. Final pricing is confirmed after the digital template of your kitchen or bathroom is completed.

Walk-ins are welcome, but we highly recommend scheduling an appointment so a designer can dedicate time to your project and help you compare materials, colors, and pricing options. Please bring photos of your kitchen as well as any measurements you have.

Colonial Marble & Granite serves homeowners across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland. With showrooms in King of Prussia, Philadelphia, Harrisburg, and Wilmington, we complete projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.

Most countertop projects are completed within approximately 7 to 14 days after the digital template is completed. Timing may vary depending on material availability and project complexity.

The cost of new countertops depends on several factors including the material selected, the size of the project, edge profiles, cutouts for sinks or cooktops, and installation requirements. Meeting with a designer allows us to review your project and provide accurate pricing based on your selections.

Materials & Design

Choosing between natural stone and quartz depends on your lifestyle and design preferences.

Quartz
Engineered stone that is non-porous, highly stain resistant, and low maintenance.

Natural Stone (Granite, Marble, Quartzite)
Each slab is unique and offers natural movement and character. Natural stone is highly heat resistant but requires periodic sealing to maintain stain resistance.

We offer granite, marble, quartzite, porcelain, and quartz from leading manufacturers. Our showrooms feature thousands of slabs and hundreds of color options, so homeowners can find the right material for their kitchen or bathroom.

Yes. Customers are encouraged to visit our showrooms to hand select the slab that will be used for their project. Because natural stone varies in color and pattern, viewing the slab in person ensures you receive the exact look you want.

We strongly recommend viewing stone slabs in person before making a final selection. Natural materials such as granite, marble, and quartzite vary significantly in color, veining, and movement. Seeing the slabs in our showroom allows you to evaluate the full pattern and choose the exact piece that will be fabricated for your project.

Our showrooms feature thousands of slabs, allowing homeowners to compare materials and select the one that best fits their design vision.

Granite and quartzite are highly heat resistant. Quartz countertops are durable but should not be exposed to extreme heat. We recommend always using trivets or hot pads to protect your surfaces.

Quartz, granite, and quartzite are among the most popular kitchen countertop materials due to their durability, appearance, and resistance to everyday wear. A designer can help you determine which material best fits your lifestyle, maintenance preferences, and design goals.

Granite, quartzite, and quartz are all highly durable options for kitchens. Quartz offers excellent stain resistance and minimal maintenance, while granite and quartzite provide natural beauty and strong heat resistance.

Digital Template
Our team visits your home to take precise laser measurements of your cabinets.

Fabrication
Your countertops are cut and polished at our fabrication facility.

Installation
Our professional installation team installs your countertops in your home.

Seams are sometimes necessary depending on the size of the slab, kitchen layout, and structural considerations. Our fabrication team carefully plans seam placement and uses color matched epoxy to create a thin, smooth, and discreet joint.

Yes. We offer professional removal and disposal of existing countertops for an additional fee.

Yes. A plumber must disconnect sinks and plumbing before installation and return at least 24 hours after installation to reconnect fixtures once adhesives have cured. If electrical outlets are affected by the installation, an electrician may also be required.

Most countertop installations are completed in one day depending on the size and complexity of the project.

Yes. Cabinets and appliances must be permanently installed, level, and secured before our team can create the digital template for your countertops.

Before installation, all items should be removed from existing countertops and surrounding areas. Cabinets must be fully installed and secured. Plumbing fixtures should be disconnected by a licensed plumber prior to installation.

Natural stone materials such as granite, marble, and quartzite vary in color, veining, and movement. Each slab is unique. While we carefully fabricate your countertops from the selected material, natural variations are part of the beauty of stone and should be expected.

Overhangs larger than approximately 10 to 12 inches may require additional structural support such as brackets or corbels depending on the material and layout. Our design team will review your kitchen design and determine whether additional support is required for safety and durability.

Countertop installations are designed to be completed efficiently with minimal disruption. Our installers take precautions to protect surrounding areas; however, some noise and minor dust may occur during removal or installation. We recommend clearing nearby surfaces and ensuring access to the installation area.
